It has been twenty years since the death of Light Yagami, the suicide of Misa Amane, and all the other Kira mishappenings. While the world had healed, and many had forgotten, the world still had a trace of the virus in it. Small organizations, preaching the Kira beliefs. Though these groups were childish, and everyone knew there could never be another Kira. Or so they thought.
It was December second, in Los Angeles, when Kira showed it's ugly face again, in the form of a murder on live television. A famed actor, known to be arch rivals with an actor that went by the name of Taylor Dovonon, died of a blood loss. He was giving a speech on television, when he slit his wrists with a concealed razor. Before dying, however, he wrote three small words in his own blood, "Kira is back."
The older public was in a frenzy, while the younger were completely oblivious. Thousands of people, twenty and under, flooded to the internet to discover what 'Kira' was. Many were taken aback, many shocked. Then there were those choce few orphans who had only been waiting. After Near's sucess, he took over Whammy's. He created not a single person, but a small task force for any situation. It consists of eight people, each specializing in something different.
Now, with the Kira killings becoming more and more frequent, can the Whammy children take the killer down quick? Or will they be locked in a battle neither sides can win? Will Kira prevail?
